Recently, with the last bucket foundation structure steadily loaded onto the "Sanhang Engineering 5" barge and smoothly departing from the shipping dock, the bucket foundation structure of the Xiaoyangshan North Operation Area West Breakwater Project, constructed by Zhoushan Technology Company of CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., has completed all prefabrication and shipping work.

The west breakwater project of Xiaoyangshan North Operation Area adopts a total of 110 new single barrel multi compartment bucket foundation structures. As the first comprehensive marine engineering base in Zhejiang Province that integrates "large round barrel" prefabrication and transportation, Zhoushan Technology Company undertakes the prefabrication and transportation tasks of all bucket foundation structures for the project.

The bucket foundation structure used for the western breakwater is more complex than that of the previous work ship dock. The specifications of the bucket body have increased from 3 to 14, and the maximum height of the upper bucket template has also been raised from 12.5 meters to 20 meters. In order to achieve ecological protection goals, each barrel is also equipped with 18 wave dissipating holes and 2 reef holes, which organically integrate the engineering structure with ecological functions.

Faced with the technical challenges brought by complex pore structures and diverse barrel structures, the project team innovatively adopted seven height template assembly schemes to optimize the concrete vibration process, ensuring that its compactness meets the standards. At the same time, the pore forming process was innovated by introducing a new technology of "embedded fiberglass pipe+rubber grout stopper", which successfully solved the problem of traditional steel formwork being difficult to balance green construction and appearance quality.

Considering the practical difficulties such as remote location, susceptibility to weather conditions in material transportation, and large concrete pouring volume, Zhoushan Technology Company has planned ahead and built four 2000 ton powder transfer warehouses, establishing an all-weather material guarantee system. In response to the pain points of high temperature construction in summer, night staggered pouring operations have been implemented to steadily promote construction production. The bucket foundation of the west breakwater has completed a total of 1056 concrete pours, with a total pouring volume of 226000 cubic meters, strictly controlling engineering quality and safety production through standardized construction.

In the component shipping process, the team accurately assesses tidal changes, refines safety control throughout the entire process, and optimizes the operation process and ship linkage mode. During the golden window period from June to August 2025, 24-hour on duty operations will be implemented to efficiently complete the transportation of 33 large barrels, achieving zero safety accidents and high construction efficiency throughout the entire process.

Technological innovation is the core driving force of Zhoushan Science and Technology Company. The intelligent devices such as "automatic maintenance car" and "anti-corrosion coating robot" developed by the Joint Third Navigation Bureau Technology Center and Harbor Engineering Institute have fully replaced traditional manual operations, reducing safety risks while improving construction efficiency by about 30%.

Focusing on the prefabrication and shipment of bucket foundation structures, Zhoushan Technology Company has accumulated 4 national invention patents, 4 utility model patents, and 5 provincial and ministerial level excellent achievement awards.

Looking towards the future, Zhoushan Technology Company will focus on the prefabrication work of the bucket foundation structure for the east bank project of Xiaoyangshan North Operation Area and the second phase of the Yangtze River Estuary South Channel project. We will adhere to the dual line approach and efficient promotion, continuously deepen technological innovation and process optimization, adhere to the bottom line of quality and safety, and contribute to the high-quality development of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta and marine engineering construction with the strength of the Three Navigation Forces.
