The temperature drops sharply, but the passion for construction remains undiminished. At the construction site of the Taicang to Changzhou section of the Jiangsu Huwu Expressway expansion project, in which China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. participated, the builders are carrying out the southern half protection and greening finishing, site cleaning work, and the northern half roadbed filling and bridge substructure construction.

The Taicang to Changzhou section of the Jiangsu Huwu Expressway expansion project starts from the Jiangsu Liuhe Bridge at the Suzhou Shanghai border and extends westward to the Changzhou South Interchange, with a total length of approximately 134.9 kilometers. The total length of the Zhongjiao Road construction and construction section is 10.05 kilometers, expanding the original two-way four lane road to a two-way eight lane road. The main road is designed for a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and the main construction content includes roadbed, bridges, culverts, and other projects.

Since entering the site in November 2024, the project team of CCCC Road Construction has adhered to the belief of "decisive battle at the beginning, sprint at the beginning", quickly completed the work of scheme preparation and review, team organization, equipment and material entry, and quickly started the construction boom. Currently, the construction of the southern half bridge, road foundation engineering handover pavement standards and other units has been completed, and we are fully committed to the goal of opening the southern half in 2026.

After the expansion of the project, it will enhance the comprehensive transportation capacity of the development belt along the Yangtze River, which plays an important supporting and guiding role in achieving interconnected development. At the same time, it is of great significance for radiating from the developed eastern regions of the Yangtze River Economic Belt to the central and western regions.
