Building 13 adopts a cast-in-place and retrofitted structure, with 13 above ground floors and 1 underground floor, designed for a service life of 50 years. To ensure the smooth completion of the topping out node, the project department, together with the construction team and the commercial mixing station, deployed in advance and formulated special plans and emergency measures. The technical personnel monitored the pouring sequence and vibration quality of the concrete throughout the process, and the responsible leader supervised on-site to promptly solve problems during construction, achieving high-quality sealing of the main structure as scheduled.
During the construction process, the project team faces multiple challenges. This summer, Kunshan has been experiencing continuous high temperatures, with temperatures exceeding 38 ℃ for several days, posing a huge challenge to outdoor construction. In order to advance the schedule while ensuring the safety of construction personnel, the project team adopted a scientific staggered scheduling mode, adjusting core processes such as steel bar binding and concrete pouring to 5am to 10am in the morning. This not only avoided the risk of high-temperature operations, but also improved the daily construction efficiency by extending the effective operation time, and bought valuable time for catching up with the subsequent schedule.
The assembly rate of over 60% of the main structure also poses higher requirements for safety and quality control. During the hoisting process of prefabricated panels, in order to address the challenges of a large number of components, large differences, and high requirements for hoisting accuracy, the project team took measures such as strengthening personnel training, using BIM for visual disclosure, optimizing the hoisting process, and increasing on-site monitoring personnel to strictly control the hoisting, transportation, and installation of each prefabricated panel, ensuring that the entire process of prefabricated construction is safe, controllable, and meets quality standards. In just two months, they successfully equalized the progress gap caused by objective factors in the early stage, and ultimately achieved the construction goal of "safety guaranteed, high temperature without deceleration". They were the first to complete the topping out of the first building in two sections.
Next, the project team will take the topping out of the first building as an opportunity to summarize successful experiences and promote their application in the construction of other buildings. They will coordinate the construction of the main structure, decoration, and supporting facilities of the remaining buildings with high standards and strict requirements, and make every effort to ensure the timely delivery of the entire project.
